Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteers needed for the Terrell Heritage Jubilee on Saturday, April 16 and Sunday, April 17 and The Bluebird Festival in Wills Point on April 23 to man an information booth. It is a fun way to meet people and tell them about what KCAAP is up too. Please call us or email us for more information.
To volunteer, call KCAAP, fill in our online volunteer form or download the print version to fill in and mail to us. Please check the box next to the area(s) of most interest to you. We will forward your information to the appropriate committee and they will contact you.
We Need Help With...
Spay/Neuter Clinic Positions are available every Tuesday – Friday for greeters, animal check-in (temp and weighing), recovery room and check-out. Shifts are from 8:00am – 1:00 and 1:00 – 6:00pm.
Transportation Provide transportation for animals to and from the clinic. Time commitment varies. Please contact us for more information.
Administrative Work Includes typing, stuffing envelopes, and mailing KCAAP information and vaccination reminder cards. If possible help create and edit literature. Compile list of community events, civic organizations etc. Schedule and time commitment varies and is determined by volunteer.
Community Liaison Distribute literature about KCAAP membership and low cost Spay/Neuter unit throughout a designated territory. Hang posters and deliver flyers to businesses and homes. Time commitment varies and is determined by volunteer.
Fundraising Assist in contacting local businesses through phone call, personal visits, letter and follow ups. Time commitment varies and is determined by the volunteer.
Volunteer Recruiting Assist in training new volunteers and recruiting others to volunteer their time.
Special Events Assist in facilitating special events such as fund raisers, attendance at County wide festivals and fairs, Critter Crawl and Concert etc.
Education Help develop relationships with schools, civic organizations, churches etc. regarding setting up education programs. Investigate and get samples of materials that are available.
