Grants for SPAY/NEUTERING OF A CAT OR DOG are available to residents who need them. All applicants must be a resident of Texas. A copy of proof of residency (drivers license, photo ID, utility bill, etc.) must be included with the appropriate application.
AVAILABLE PROGRAMS INCLUDE:
DISADVANTAGED RESIDENT
Requires some type of government assistance program. Examples include CHIP, WIC, Medicare, Medicade, Unemployment, public housing, etc. Proof of such government assistance is required.
MULTIPLE PET OWNER
Requires that the owner bring three or more animals from the same household for surgery on the same day. The owner will be responsible for the cost of the first two surgeries, and all additional surgeries will be covered under the grant. The covered surgeries must be performed on the same day in order to qualify. If The owner needs assistance in paying for the first two surgeries, they should inquire about additional grant opportunities.
FERAL CAT
Requires that the cat be feral, trapped and then brought to the clinic. Friendly neighborhood cats or your owned cats do not qualify.
DOGS OVER 45 LBS
Requires that the dog weigh over 45 lbs at the time of surgery. The owner is asked to make a small co-pay toward the cost of the surgery if they are able to do so.
These grants do not pay for surgeries on shelter, rescue, or breeder's animals. Special discounts are available for shelter and rescue groups. Please call the clinic for details.
